SP engineering built the Viewer for Frigate application as a Open Source Application. This App is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page informs visitors regarding policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone using the App.
The App requires connection data for your Frigate NVR server and Home Assistant instance (such as Long-Lived Access Tokens). This sensitive data is stored exclusively on your device using industry-standard, hardware-backed secure storage mechanisms. It is never collected, shared, or transmitted to the developer or any external third-party servers.
The App can store snapshots and clips from your Frigate NVR server in the device’s internal memory. These files are never transferred outside your device.

The App offers paid features. All transactions are processed securely by the respective app store platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
The App interacts with the Frigate NVR server API to display content. Furthermore, the App allows you to connect to your private Home Assistant instance to trigger automations and forward notifications (including snapshots) to services such as the Home Assistant Companion App, Telegram, or WhatsApp.
All communication happens directly between your mobile device and your personal servers. The developer does not operate any intermediary servers, does not route your data, and has no control over the third-party integrations you configure within your Home Assistant ecosystem. I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policies of Home Assistant and any communication platforms you utilize.
This App is designed to connect directly to the Frigate NVR and Home Assistant servers of your choice. The security of your data depends entirely on the security of your mobile device (where data is securely encrypted) and the configuration of your private servers. Ensure that your device is protected and that you use secure, encrypted network connections (such as HTTPS or VPN) to connect to your infrastructure. The developer cannot guarantee absolute security as it relies entirely on your own network setup.
